Hi from Edinburgh. I started with a 150p on an eq mount which i got 2nd hand from Astro buy & sell. I upgraded to an 200p after 6 months and my final purchase ( for the time being ) is a 300p truss style Dobsonian. Purchased 2nd hand again from Ab&s it gives me way more aperture for my cash, it's easy to use on an alt/az rocker box. I realized after my 200p that I would not be getting into Astro Photography which is why i upgraded. The 200 gave me tremendous views and i believe they can be purchased at a great price as a Dobsonian. Hope that helps and best of luck getting started
