Stellarium - Control telescope over network

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have setup a laptop with Stellarium and Nexremote (My scope Nexstar 6SE). This laptop is located outside close to the scope itself. I am connecting to this with RDP from another computer so I can control the scope.

I have read that it should also be possible to control the scope directly over the network with TelescopeServerNexStar.

Does anyone have any experience with this? All the links I have found seems to be dead. Where could I find this SW? (Windows machines)

I use VNC (virtual network computing), Real VNC to be precise.

Set the laptop up outside and either by wireless or wired connection to the same network, you can control the whole laptop from a PC indoors.

Simples - and cross platform too.
