It's good to see that the astromony gods still have a sense of humour

Bloomin typical,

First clear night for months...........and

No moon, no wind and crystal clear skies. But I have an important presentation to do first thing tomorrow so absolutely no chance of playing tonight.

Just to add to the Astro gods sense of humour they have thrown in a meteor shower to boot

This is such a frustrating hobby sometimes.

:(:(:(

We had a clear patch forecast tonight from 8 until 11 so the Bristol AS ran an outreach event in the car park of a local National Trust property. Around 50 members of the public turned up with 10 members bringing scopes and we got some great views for 45 mins or so before an unforecast cloud bank came across and rained rather hard on us and our gear :clouds2:

So we had to call the event off, get the scopes back in the cars PDQ and make for home. As I pulled onto my driveway 25mins later - the sky was crystal clear again :rolleyes2:
