Head to head with the clouds

Man versus clouds, clouds did'nt stand a chance.

Do we need a modded DSLR, not necessarily.....

Do we need long exposures, not necessarily......not if you have a Canon 6D and some fast glass.

Cygnus area.

Canon 6D unmodded,  Nifty Fifty f/2.8 ISO 1600, 7x 30seconds, Astronomik full frame CLS clip filter.

Processed in PixInsight, there is a lot wrong with the image but I was in and out before the clouds

could do their thing, Clouds nil 6D 1

Nice composition. Interesting to see how the full-frame field of view compares with the crop sensors on this region, I'd probably have to use a 35mm lens to fit everything in.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Was really surprised at the responce of the 6D on emission nebs.

I'm nearly tempted to sell the 60Da pair as the unmodded 6D appears to beat them easily.

Need to do some long exposures and see how it goes.
