Dragging the sky view in Carte du Ciel

By holding the Shift key down and left clicking the mouse at the same time, the cursor in CdC changes to a little hand and you can conveniently drag the sky view to your desired view, which I find much more useful than using the side slider bars. Annoyingly I am setting up CdC on a new computer and can not remember how to lock-in this function, which then ensures that by just left clicking you can drag the sky view without holding down the Shift key at the same time.

Can anybody please put me out of my misery trying to work out how to do this please - I have it set up like this on my old computer but can't remember how I did it!!!  Thanks.

Its the change mouse function button....... two to the left of the anchor button (on my set up)
