Pacman + Bok dark nebula

This is my first visit to the Pacman Nebula NGC 281 in Cass. It's too big for my set-up but the brightest region captured last night including the central OC IC 1590 of hot blue stars.  Exposure 150s [5x30s] via my 30cm f/3.3 SCT+SX Lodestar-Cx2. 

Pacman is a similar HII region to the Eagle Neb M16 with star-forming regions associated with Bok dark nebula that I've marked below from reference to Wikisky/Wikipedia.  Hope it of interest ;-)

BTW - clear Saturday night clashed with popular bonefire night and had to abandon session when a neighbour a few doors away used my garden to explode his blockbusters overhead - bit like a warzone briefly !

Very interesting. That is quite a bit of detail you captured for such short exposures.

Yes, interesting to see the Bok nebulae. You're capturing some good blue colour there too, something I'm still struggling with.
