gonzostar
HiDo people consider it a waste of time and effort to try and take pictures of DSO.s during full moon? I was thinking of brighter objects like m31 and the star clusters inAuriga? I have a 8" sct on avx mount using a 450d canon camera oh also focal reducer and a lp filter.Thankyou Dean
PeterCPC
I use a Canon for DSOs and don't even bother trying when the Moon is so bright.Peter
gonzostar
I thought that maybe the main consensus. Probably explains why i only got 1 light frame stacked out of 15 on m31!Dean
michael8554
Hi DeanI have on occasions imaged during the full moon, just for the hell of it after weeks of cloud.Think of it as another form of Light Pollution, many folk image under those conditions all the time.Pick a DSO as far from the moon as is practical.Be prepared for a gradient across the image. Why not try it and see what results you get?Michael
