Matt Black Paint.

Just as information and likely only for a short time.

Poundland have small cans, 175ml, of matt black paint on sale (you can guess the price).

No idea how good or bad but if looking or wanting some for blackening or touching up the internals of a scope you do not have a lot to lose.

It is okay but you definitely need to prime the area to be painted first. It is quite hard to paint with a brush but a roller is much better. I used it on my telescope build and without priming it was a nightmare, wouldn't spread and was uneven and patchy.

From left:

- Velour

- At the bottom - black paint with acrylic mat with talcum powder, at the top - the same plus a black matt spray on top

- At the bottom - black paint with acrylic mats on top of the same plus a black matt spray on top

- Matte black spray plus talc

- Black matt spray

- Fumed sheet

Numbers mean average reads from  pipette.

Looking straight ahead:
