The brightness of the moon last night put the kybosh on me finding the faint stars I needed to find nearby Neptune.

I swapped scopes and moved on to M31 using a long lens.

Later Uranus was above the house so I swapped back and had my first go at this planet. I took 47 subs at 100asa, 1 second using the 150PL and an x2 barlow with IR filter using the Canon 10D. Possibly a bit dim but it meant I could see the colour of the disk on each sub. CA was noticeable as it was right at the edge of the frame (I didn't want to risk losing it!)

I'm quite pleased with what I got, especially the (unmodified) colour  and minimal processing:
