Slit guiding with AA5!

Hi chaps

Had another go at trying to guide using the slit option in Astroart5 last night and there seems to be something either in AA5 or maybe Eqmod which is fighting with other settings with the prog as I coudn`l get the star on the slit using my hand control as the mount kept wanting to guide itself?? The position on the slit I wanted was x = 168, y = 60 which is off centre towards the bottom of the guide window

I'm not set-up at the moment to get all the EQMod info but I'm pretty sure I had to reset the ST-4 guide under EQMod to 0.25 (or 0.5) RA rate.

Are you using Relay1 camera as the guide camera connection for the Lodestar?

No I`m not using the Lodestar relays (ST-4) just doing it through the mount would that be better as the software seemed to be fighting me placing the star on the slit?

I've only ever used the Lodestar with the ST4 connection to the NEQ6.

May be worth at least trying.
