Had a quick look at the sun with some PhD students, using the SolarMax-II 60mm. Conditions were very hazy, so fainter proms wouldn't show. Some of the filaments seem to have lifted, but there are still several left. There is quite a large prom in the southwest, and most interestingly, a few sharp, bright spikes southwards on the eastern limb, looking very much like surges. There may be something lurking on the limb. Fingers crossed for a big AR turning up
