How much current does one dew band set on about 30% on a HitecAstro controller use per hour [per inch of dew band]?

Which dew band and does the spec state a wattage?

Hi James,

Depends !!, the four channel controller can provide up to 5 amps per channel to a total of 10amps. So if you draw 5 amps there is only 5 amps left for the other three channels. A 14" dewstrip can draw c4 amps , so a very unprecise guess is (4/14) *.3 = .085amp per inch.

Unbranded dew band. Actual heated component is about 14" so i'll go with those calculations, many thanks

Plugged my 39" SCT one in amp meter and it draws around 0.1 amp per inch.
