Revelation self centering adapter

Just ordered a revelation 2"-1.25" sca with the intention to screw my 2" OIII into it so I can use it with my 1.25" eps as well. Just to double check it does have a thread right? I asked tele house and they said yes but just want to be sure. Also has anyone had problems with the ep touching the filter?

It does indeed have filter threads Dom & you shouldn't have any issues with clearance . The pic below shows the clearance with a run of the mill 25mm plossl.....

Is it metal or plastic it's hard to tell? Also please could you be a hero and measure the clearance? My bsts are longer than the standard plossl.

The adapter is metal apart from the acrylic ring inside that closes on the eyepiece when the top ring is tightened. That particular eyepiece has a 22mm barrel length and there is 3mm of clearance , maybe a few more depending on how much the filter is recessed in its housing. If you don't have enough with your BST's, you could attach a Hyperion fine tuning ring, also threaded for filters. The pic below shows the 28mm attached (the 14mm would more than suffice in your case).

Thanks! Just compared the two eps and it looks as if the bst will be right on the limit xD Hopefully the filter is recessed slightly!

Should work without problems, I have the Orion branding of the same product and all my 1.25" ep's clear it.  I also have the FTR's just in case but have never had to use them.
