Meade wedge altitude adjuster.....what thread ?

Just a quickie

Does anybody know what the size and thread is on the altitude adjuster threaded bar on the standard Meade wedge, I want to put a locking nut on it, so need to know, I have tried all the ones I have.

I thought it was UNC as most Meade bolts are, but does not seem to be.

Sadly for you I sold mine on Tuesday. All Meade's I believe are imperial threads I would say my alt bar was 1/2 inch or maybe even 5/8 but this was an Ultra wedge which is well beefed up version.

Yes mine is not that thick, I would say mine is 1/4" or maybe 3/8" but not anywhere near 1/2"

I would guess as yours was the Ultra wedge, it would have been bigger and beefed up, but thanks for the reply
