New Scope and a Quicky of Jupiter

Recommended Posts

Bought a Skywatcher 200 Dob which arrived this morning and was promptly set up.

Weather wasnt very good but managed to get out for 5 mins and take a snap with my DSLR.

Cant believe the difference between my old 130eq and new Dob.

Anyways.

1 shot, No cool down, 800 ISO with 2x Barlow.

Thats a better image than I got stacking 500 frames from my old Scope.

Cant wait until I get a few hours in the Garden with clear skies and my webcam.........

Great stuff, nice work for a straight unstacked DSLR shot. You have so many happy hours ahead with the Skywatcher 200! I got mine recently, and I'm totally hooked. I'm mostly stacking 5000 frame clips of Jupiter taken with an ZWO034ASIMC CCD imager, and am really enjoying the results. Looking forward to more of your photos! :)
