Orion Nebula in a different hue...

Hi all,

Sharing a pic of the Orion Nebula I've taken last November through narrowband filters... 6 x 30 min subs ISO200 H-Alpha and OIII and 6 x 30 minute subs ISO400 SII... Each channel stacked and combined as SHO as RGB, then channel mixer shifted 50% R to G, G to B and B to R to get away from the strong green look Hubble palette look.

The subs are taken using a Celestron Nexstar 8SE on CGEM mount, a f6.3 focal reducer and a full spectrum modded Canon 40D. Noise was controlled by first removing the channels from the raw files that were not necessary, for example remove green and blue from halpha then simple dust and scratch noise reduction.

Thanks for looking... Clear Skies,

Mariusz
