Regretting Purchase of new telescope

Recommended Posts

If a pair of binoculars lets you experience what a telescope doesn't, then ..

Yep, heck of a lot of difference between 10x bins and a 10" scope....the viewing experience will be radically different in terms of FOV etc, let alone with concomitant problems with the finder....

But (optimist speaking!) stick with it...it'll take some adjustment in terms of finding things/collimation/dark adaptation etc etc even once the finder wobble is fixed. Good luck! I'll bet in one or two sessions more, you'll be drooling all over LA with what you're seeing via the scope  :icon_flower:

ps - once you start thinking of new eyepieces, solar filter, gizmos and gadgets etc, kiss your wallet goodbye

If you are using the 1.25" ep, make sure you are just using the 1.25" adaptor for this, it will not focus if you use the 2" adaptor with the 1.25" one as well.

Manufacturers usually supply both nowadays and this was a mistake I made.
