... When I made my solar filter from baader film I didn't realise there was a thin clear plastic film on one side. So now camera won't focus doh! At least I realised when I did the view finder one this morning. Had a few kids on way to school wanting to have a look which was nice

Clear Sky's, doesn't feel too cold and birds are singing. No doubt cloud will roll in now!

Would not have expected a camera to autofocus itself, you are cutting out too much of the light.

Is there no manual focus option?

I manually focused, but that thin bit of film meant i couldn't achieve sharp focus so edge of moon / sun blurry. However about 5 minutes before peak it just went thick with clouds and no amount of gain or exposure adjustment could get me an image on my eye cam.

Still, I'll remember for 2090 to take the film off ;)
