Eyepiece Projection

Recommended Posts

I want a go at eyepiece projection - I was able to hold the webcam against the eyepiece and the laptop image did look better than ususal but clearly I cannot use my hand to hold it for 1 min:)

So - any ideas where I can buy a projector like the one below?

365Astronomy has them. I purchased the wide version like this one...

There is also one called the Vari-Max which is the largest one available that I've seen and will hold even a 2' barreled eyepiece and barlow.

So that will work exactly like the one in the picture?

Would I need to remove the rubber from the eyepiece - should this unscrew?

The blurb states - The rubber eyecup will need to be removed to fit inside the adaptor.

Ive got skywatcher eye pieces but cannot seem to remove the rubber - do they unscrew?

Usually they sort of pull off.  There is like a lip that holds it on.  The eyepiece has to be cylindrical to fit in.
