This is probably absolute wishful thinking but does anyone know a company that will allow you to buy a telescope in payment installments?

The best idea would probably be a 0% credit card? I'm not aware of any astro retailers that offer any sort of finance package. I would expect it's too small a market for this.

Some astronomical societies and groups have one or more scopes they lend out to members. May be worth looking into your local groups, and use that whilst saving up. Zero percent credit card is a good idea, but usually depends on reasonable credit history.

I think Bristol cameras give you the option.. its definitely not interest free though..
