Again after dusk under clearish skies and moonlight for brief session via Meade 30cm f4 SCT+SX Lodestar-Cx2 +SX s/w in Gem/Lynx - no filters/flats or darks eg...

Lynx quasar @ 12BLY [30s] - not much to look at but nice mind-games

NGC 2419 remote globular in Lynx [120s=4x30s] resolves its very faint stars

Eskimo planetary NGC 2392 with nice resolution and cyan colour = OIII

More faint gx to follow incl AGC586 near Castor :police:

Nice work. You're getting some good colour on these and your earlier-in-the-week posts.

The Lynx quasar is surprisingly bright! Bright enough to measure a spectrum, I wonder?

Martin

Thanks Martin - much appreciated

Yes the Lynx quasar is bright at mag 15/16 for our cameras but very faint in the spectroscope needing very long total exposures unfortunately.  Interestingly the quasar is so remote that the light we record started in far ultra-violet and is red-shifted into the visible !
