TAL 1.25" mirror diagonal has landed

Actually, this landed two days ago, but I have just been able to give it a short spin in daytime. It seems to be a touch clearer than the old prism diagonal I had. I intend to use it with a future Quark. It is built like the proverbial tank (T34 given it is Russian ). Thanks to Dave (a.k.a. F15Rules) for letting me buy his.

That dust cap with the tab on it brings back memories of my old TAL 100 refractor which used the same diagonal. TAL stuff seems to be over-engineered if anything which is a nice change from stuff which is barely up to the task.

You've probably noticed, but bear in mind the diagonal doesn't have a stop at the bottom of the eyepiece holder, so take care when inserting anything with a longer than norm nose.
