i have hit most forums with stupid ides at some point the binocular section is just the latest to suffer.

Big observation binoculars are fairly reasonably priced, Big astro bins are a lot more expensive. Is it possible to put diagonals on observation binoculars so they can be used comfortably at zenith without having to buy an expensive p mount and  if not why not?

Probably not enough focus travel built in to accommodate diagonals.

It might work with barlow lens cells screwed directly onto the field end of the diagonals, to accommodate for the longer light path that the diagonals introduce.

I'm not sure though.
