CELESTRON 25 x 100 SKYMASTER

I picked up a pair of CELESTRON 25 x 100 Skymaster Giant Binos with a Manfrotto 475b Tripod with a 501 fluid pan head. It is a GREAT combo....

The Moon is Incredible through these.... M41...Awesome....Looking forward to many fun times with these...

I bought a pair a couple of months back for £120 on UK Astro Buy & Sell. Bargain and a good investment.

They are beasts and need a good tripod, but what views they give! I have mine on a tripod from Tring Astro, the Horizon 8115 which supports them well, when I have the pennies I will invest in a pantograrh mount.

Because I wear glasses and take them off for observing I made a note of the focus settings on the left & right oculars.

Often leave them in the car ready to head off early morning to the Fens....ideal G&G solution. Orions Belt and the M42 are splendid. I could make out banding on Jupiter and of course the 4 moons were a sinch.

Nice addition Mark, big bins on a quality platform are a fabulous combination.

I can't speak too highly of the Manfrotto tripod. I've got the 502 head rather than the 501, but I think they pretty much amount to the same thing. Rock solid and a joy to use.
