Just tried Microsoft's FREE "ICE" photo stitching software on 3 pics of the moon I took 2 nights ago, finished image here:

Took about 4-5 secs to do 3 3 Megapixel images, pretty good for a freebie!

I use ICE, its really really good. I had a 60 image full moon mosaic, and it sorted it out in 20 seconds.

It never worked on 4 panel sun mosaics for me, though it can be very good.

Ah, yes Olly. ICE is hopeless on the Sun. There's not enough detail.
