Clavius (?) crater ray

I'm looking at the moon right now, specifically the crater Clavius and there is a fantastic ray sitting in there. Anyone seen this ray before? I love those things...

I'm pretty sure that the ray is caused by the "notch" of Clav "K" and is between Clav "D" and Rutherford and a bit to the east. What a sight! Gotta love the Virtual Moon atlas. Thanks for the heads up on the atlas AstroImp

Clavius is in the area of the Moon where there has been a great deal of activity in days gone by, it is a very rugged terrain and during the termination there is a heck of a lot to see.

I do find it is always throwing new questions at me, just like the one you have experienced with the ray, strange details seem to appear from nowhere dependant on how the light is being reflected at that given moment in time  Great stuff

That's a great area to observe, always something to catch the eye.
