new cataclysmic in Aries

Via BAAVSS email .......PNV J03093063+2638031 = co-ordinates at mag 11.0 in Aries ..and well placed for observation after dusk in NE - the
latest spectroscopic observations show that it is probably not a nova but a WZ Sge type star (a cataclysmic variable).

Took this colour shot close-up [7.0' x 5.5' fov] via SX s/ware last night - data on image using my 30cm f/10 SCT+SX Lodestar-Cx2 in 60s exp.

On Sloan DSS / Wikisky a very faint [mag19] star is recorded in this position

I'm hoping to follow this star as for long as possible.

That's the great thing about variable star astronomy, there's ALWAYS something new happening!
