Any ideas what this is ?

Hi guys

Had some weird stuff going on tonight and wondered if anyone could shed any light on it please?.

I thought first off it was a satellite but it kept changing direction maybe a distant helicopter? couldn`t make any out though ??

Thanks for posting these screenshots. Haven't come across anything like it in the documents I have looked at on the Internet. On some shots you have 2 or 3 such patterns going on at the same time. You also have a signal at around 2240Hz and interference lines. Worst thing it's causing 'detections' to be counted by SL. Have you tried the ferrite cores to cut down interference as this might help.? I'll try looking on the Internet later today Steve.

Interesting - I do not think it's interference as it's showing the repetitive signal of a radar.. is it on Graves?

Hi again Steve,

I've been on the Internet looking for any article showing something similar and may have found it or something a little closer. http://radioscanning.wordpress.com/2012/09/15/rtl-sdr/ albeit over a wider spectrum. The author thought it showed local and unidentified interference.

Thanks chaps, yes antenna pointing towards Graves, tried later on last night and it had gone, maybe the RAF doing their thing somewhere ?.
