Assistance with mounting Guidescope onto OTA

Hi guys,

I recently got my hands on a Orion guidescope package pro and some curved bars to mount it onto my Celestron C8 OTA.

Since I am doing this for the first time, does anyone have any links to how this is done properly and what to watch out for when doing it?

I'd hate to stuff up something severe just as i am starting to get the hang of it and enjoy the images.

did you get the Orion Magnificent Mini Deluxe AutoGuider Package or the non-Deluxe one ?

I will need to mount the same guidescope on a C6 OTA ... I am worry that it is too heavy or big for that tube.

If you are really worried you could get cross bar and guide mount and take care of the problem like that. It means you won't need to put a bit on the OTA itself.
