For the last week or been tinkering with a DIY focal reducer on my DIY Lensless Schmidt camera but last night set it aside and used its native 10cm f/4-5 mode and SX s/w.  The gibbous moon proved a nuisance once it emerged from trees but a least we get to 'observe' when it's about 

Here's some grabs saved at the scope in 30s or 60s single exposures starting with..

the moon in 1ms exposure and inset the piggybacked LSC

NGC83 has radial velocity / redshift of

(km/s) 6353 [168]  / z(~) 0.021421

so around 294 million LY
