IDAS Light Pollution Filter

Since I live in a populated area and have to deal with light pollution, I would like to purchase a light pollution filter for my Canon 5D Mark III. I read that the IDAS filter was highly rated but they have two types, a  -P2 and a -D1. I have not been able to figure out which one I need.

Any suggestions?

They are both very good, the D1 is the latest slightly better version of the P2.

BTW.....I use the P2 version with my Canon 60Da.

D1 is the one for you. Better for OSC as it cuts a bit deeper than P2. for mono CCD you can leave p2 in front of FW. D1 cuts too far into NB for this
