The telescope and especially the mount are more suited to planetary imaging. The mount is AltAz and the focal ratio too slow for satisfying DSO imaging. It is a great scope for lunar and planetary imaging though. Have a look at fast frame rate CCD cameras like the Imaging Source DMK/DBK ranges or the Celestron Skyris range.
