Isn't £450 (what the scope "usually sells at") the price when you buy the OTA with a finder, eyepiece and diagonal?  I'm not personally seeing this as a bargain yet.  I'm not even sure it's reached the price yet where you could replace the focuser and have spent the same as if you'd bought a new one, sold the working focuser on and replaced it with a better one.

I don't think I'd be hitting the "buy" button for a while yet

I've bought a couple of those in the past for around £200 in excellent used condition. It could be a decent buy if it drops to £150 or less but with that reverse bid system that will take weeks .......
