Warming up after a long break from Deep Sky

Too many hours spent on planetary at long focal lengths, but now got the DSLR astro modded and the guiding working with PHD2.

Just a couple of warmers taken tonight, both with the Expl 200P and SW CC/FR giving F4.5 - stacking 16/20 30 sec subs taken at ISO 800.

First up M27, almost lost in the wider full frame field:

Second up M92, almost at Zenith and cropped - cloud stopped play at about 16 subs for this:

Calibrated with 20 darks, no flats - some vignetting.

At least I now have some data to play with in Gib007's new DSS tutorial

The stars in these look rather over exposed/washed out of colour to me, despite the short subs - am I better off shooting longer at low ISO to get more colour?

Here's a quick rework, with the best 13 lights stacked with Median method:

It does accentuate the vignetting, but next step will be an artificial flat to try and counter the gradients.
