The Sun projected by Noah (aged 5)

Noah (aged 5) and I took the telescope out in the garden this lunchtime while his little brother was having his nap. We projected the Sun and and drew what we saw. 2 nice clear spots right on opposite limbs, and a loose cluster of 3 spots (much fainter) towards the middle. Not sure which way is north, I'm afraid! We could clearly see limb darkening. "It was very fun. My daddy helped as well" says Noah. I hope you like our sketch!

That's a fab sketch - what a fun thing to do together     My girls love sketching the Moon when that's around early enough (ie not past bedtime) - you've started him into a lifelong hobby now
