Single shot of Milky Way last night

Clearest night for ages, watched the ISS and several meteors stream across the sky before noticing the Milky Way was getting brighter in the east. Set up tripod and just took a few shots. This is the best, not sure stars are completely in focus but I quite like it regardless.

Nice shot, what are the details ie camera, iso, exposure, f ratio etc ?

ISO 1600

Focal length 21mm

manual focus set at infinity (or thereabouts)

Lovely - even before I saw you were in the Quercy area, your picture reminded me of the skies I saw a couple of years ago when I stayed a few km outside Fumel.  Lovely dark Lot skies!

Know Fumel well

We go down that way quite frequently, Love the Lot River and Valley (wine's not bad either). There is an observatory at Gigouzac, right in the middle of the dark skies triangle within easy reach of Fumel. Run by "le Club Astronomie de Gigouzac" who hold regular meetings there.

I didn't know about the Gigouzac observatory, but was aware of the one just south of Fumel by the aerodrome.
