Occultation tonight 14/15 June

Heads up for you occultation lovers:

rho 1 Sagittarii (Mag 4ish)  occulted  00.12 GMT (01.12 BST) emerging about 1 hr later. Moon near full which will affect viewing but emergence will be on a darkened limb. Nicely timed after a certain football match - clouds permitting of course!

Many thanks for the heads-up Kerry,

Currently showery here right now but the kit is down near the back door and ready.

The football won't get a look-in, if its clear I will be out the back, and if not I have my S @ N CD Rom just through the door.

Don't care for Rooney, I'd rather watch the Moon(ie).

If it was the FLO forecast, I'm afraid it's completely wrong- shows clear for now but it's 100% clouded outside

I was looking at several forecasts and I picked the one that suited me

I have had some decent views inbetween the clouds and the  football, but this I missed the occult    The cloud pattern gave quite a spooky looking Moon though
