I tried my web cam last night, using sharpcap  but the best i could get was a  white negatve picture ( similar to when you do sharpening in Ps) I messed about with the settings but ended up with  what i could describre as a blue noise image  its only a £10 webcam that i took the filter off (advent i think)  anybody got any ideas thanks

The first thing to do is make sure that the telescope is focused.

It could be overexposed, the moon is very bright. Or there could be an LED in the camera that hits the sensor now the filter has been removed. I had one like that so I pulled the LED off the board.

The scope was perfectly in focus, & I,m Pretty sure the webcam has'nt an LED but will check
