A trip to IAS followed by a gap

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to IAS. Great to meet up with DrRobin, Steve Ward & Montana.

Only snag is I ended up spending money

You must have had the early "gap"!!  it was thundering here at 13.00

Rain cleared through here just about 2pm. Literally got in the front door then went out the back with the scope to get the shot.

The sun came out at IAS about 2pm and the solar viewing section sprang in to life. Great to meet up with you and Steve, Alexandra & Hubby. We left about 3pm, caught the rain up going back north, but it is clear as a bell now, so going out tonight to get Mars and/or Saturn. Sadly my new camera won't get used, Mrs DrRobin objected to me setting it up and insisted I watch the TV with her for some reason.

Out of the house over 12 hours, nearly 8 hours in the car, but it was well worth it.

Though you might pop back again as it cleared ... unfortunately I had to cut my weekend to just a day trip so I shan't be there tomorrow ...

Typical, as soon as I leave the building it all kicks off. Ah well, at least it made it worth the traveling for you all.

@DrRobin - Good to meet you too and I am glad you found it wothwhile despite the lengthy journey time. Hope Dom enjoyed it too.
