collimators

ok can anyone help please .so I recently bought a next generation 1.25" with 2" adaptor collimator

my problem is I cant get it to fit my eye piece, please am I thick or do they come in a smaller size

my scope is a edu science 4"mirror 76mm dia  700mm f  the eye piece looks to be about an 1"

please help, as you can tell im new to all this

Your telescope might use the older and  smaller 24.5mm (0.965") size eyepiece size rather than the more common 31.7mm (1.25") eyepiece.

so does that mean I can no longer get a laser collimator for it then

ekim, correct.........but you could buy an adaptor 24.5mm to 31.7mm (1.25")  then use your laser. Cornelius Varley was correct about the focuser size.

Also check on-line about collimating your laser, to ensure its accurate. That will save you a whole headache in future?
