Star Atlases / Guides on Kindle Paperwhite

Hi all

Has anyone tried a star atlas etc on a Kindle Paperwhite?  I have one and this seems to be a possible solution to not actually being able to see the chart or map properly even under red light.

Turn the backlight right down so that the page is still visible but not so bright as to destroy one's nightvision.

Before I splash out any cash has anyone tried this and what were your thoughts.

Thanks

Most star-guide books either don't work well or aren't available on the paperwhite. This is, I suspect, owing to the limited capacity for graphics, and syncing issues with graphic heavy formatting.  My paperwhite even struggled a bit with the simple line diagrams in Patrick Moore's 'Teach Yourself Astronomy'.

Kindle version reviews for LT@O are ALL bad.

TBH, I would try a different torch - possibly a head torch?
