Powering Camera and Filterwheel

Slim

More advice needed from the lovely folks at SL!

I've ordered an Atik 383L+ and EFW2 filter wheel and I'm working on how to get power to them in my obsy. I have ordered a bench power supply (http://www.pegasusmodels.co.uk/product.asp?prodid=995593) and hope to power the mount, camera and filter wheel from it using some ring tongue power cables (http://www.firstlightoptics.com/astronomy-cables-leads-accessories/skytron-power-supply-cable-skywatcher-eq3-2-eq5-heq5-eq6-series-mounts.html). I had the idea to buy two power cables, one to power the mount and one used in conjunction with a 2-way splitter (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CCTV-Camera-2-4-8-Way-Splitter-DC-Power-Cable-Splitter-Sameday-Dispatch-/150848281964?var=450088878208) to power both the camera and the filterwheel. Anyone see any problems with this?

My other question is, FLO list a number of different power cables that are each suitable for a different mount manufacturer. My understanding is that any 5.5mm x 2.1mm, centre positive jack will be suitable. Or am I yet again wrong!

Thoughts would be much appreciated.

I have noticed that my EFW2 is very sensitive to power flucuations, this maybe because my mains power supply (5amp) isn't powerful enough, but it sometimes changes filters of it's own accord when slewing the mount.

Think some newer cameras have built in power sockets so presumably you can power the filter wheel from these.

Sounds like the right power plug.
