Power supply for Ioptron Powerweight

I received my iOptron powerweight yesterday and it's annoyingly been supplied with a US power lead (two pins, 1/2" inch apart). Now, I'm sure the supplier will sort this, but I'm bored and being a bit nerdy, so.....

If I felt so inclined, would I be best to simply get a US to UK plug adapter, or would I be better buying a multi-voltage adapter? The plug's specification is tip-positive and has an output of 14.4v; I can only find 12v multi-voltage adapters. It draws 1500MA.

Why not snip the 2 pin plug off and wire on a standard 13 amp. But   !!!! make sure the adaptor is suitable for 240 volt ac and is not limited to the american supply of 110 Vots.

Maplin do a supply that does 15v and what seems to be 2W or a bit more.

Easiest is to visit their site and search for "Multi Voltage Power Supply"

Ah yeah - could only see 12v ones, but I was searching specifically for 14.4v so no wonder I couldn't find any! Many thanks.

It will be fine on 240v
