2nd go at M51

Taken on Friday night. 17x15 second subs with 10 darks at 6400iso.

Polar alignment was pretty poor so I shortened the exposers and cranked the ISO. Would have liked more light frames but it was towards the end of the night and the moon was rising and clouds were rolling in. All things considered I am pretty happy with it but also know that there is still room for improvement.

Still getting used to my new mount and in the near future I think I will try drift alignment and most likely get into guiding in a year or so. As of now I am going to stick with a level of AP that I find fun. As soon as it starts getting frustrating and I feel stressed I back off and go back to something I find simple like imaging the moon.

This hobby has taught me a lot in the last few months. Like patience .
