Imaging while guiding using DSSR

I've been trying to use DSSR to guide while imaging.

I was hoping that I could set it up before work, leave it running all day (but monitoring it via VNC) and have it capture a 2000 frame AVI every 5 minutes.

The capturing part is fairly obvious, but I cannot work out how to get the guiding to work. The software is clearly able to control the mount as when I start the guiding the goes off in different direction - at first I thought it was completing a calibration routine similar to PHD, but that doesn't appear to be the case. 

I have filled in the boxes detailing the FOV, I tried adjusting the aggressiveness figures. But nothing I did made any difference. 

Does anyone have any pointers to getting this guiding working? It would be an absolute godsend if I could get it up and running.
