Weird circles on my images

Recommended Posts

Hiya,

I've been out shooting the sun and the moon lately, just with my Canon 400D connected to the scope (Skywatcher 130p) via the 2x Skywatcher barlow. Anyway, I've noticed lots of little circles appear on the images. All about the same size, randomly dotted throughout the image. Any idea what's causing these? I've marked some on the pic of the moon form last night, but you can see them all over the image.

Cheers,

Likely to be dust bunnies.

Small little specks of dust on the camera sensor that are too small to be seen with the eye. If you have a little squeezy rocket blower try blowing the sensor and see if that helps. Try to avoid using your breather though as the moisture can make things worse.
