Here's a capture of Mars from the back end of last month taken under fairly average seeing conditions. Much smaller now but still plenty of detail to be had.

Very nice starman, looks like a shot from a spaceprobe!! Your image agrees quite nicely with a drawing a made of about the same CM.

Today I just brought a electric drive for my telescope. The days of manual tracking, sketching and spilling coffee all at the same time are nearly at an end!
