Best Astronomy app?

So I finally have my hands on my new (dent free) telescope. Hoping to give it a whirl tonight...

I read on here once before about a really good iphone app- tells you when the skies will be clear, stars out etc etc BUT i can't remember what is was called. Any suggestions...

phone apps can deliver different results..

I suggest you download Stellarium. ...on pc..

(free version of Stellarium is not out yet on android)

If you have a dob, ...stellarium is a must have..

Scope Nights is pretty good for forecasting - though the Met Office isn't too bad either.

I find Sky Safari Pro on the iPhone very good, but not for forecasting.

Cosmos celestron Navigator is pretty cool, along with lots of other awesome features it tells you what will be visible in your area each day and where to find it.
