Help with synscan handset

I have that mount too and happy kat is right about the clutches.

I also use the synscan handset from my HEQ5 Pro with the mount without issue, but you need to use the correct handset to mount cable. For the Virtuoso it has RJ45 at the handset end and RJ12 at the mount end.

The handset will work with both EQ and AltAz mounts with the right firmware installed.

The mount needs to be horizontal when switched on, then set to your latitude before pressing the two buttons for alignment. Once that's done you can do a 1 or 2 star alignment via the handset.

You only need to set the latitude again if observing in a different location. If same location point telescope at Polaris and turn mount on.
