Excelent 90 minutes last night

Short period of clear sky's here last night  managed M51 M63 M94 M3 and Mars, could just make out the spiral in M51 and M3 as always a lovely sight.  Just spent about 15 minutes on Mars and getting some detail and the clouds rolled in.

But sometimes a short session can be just as rewarding as viewing for several hours.

Hope others had some clear sky's they have been in short supply of late.

Must of missed most of the Sahara dust here.

I left it a bit late to get the scope out last night but, apart from the odd cloud, the transparency looked really good. It might be clear again on Monday night but then the moon will be close to first quarter.

Indeed. We had fog for days and days, then yesterday evening it cleared up. beautiful sunset, then at 3am last night I peeked around the curtains and it was really clear.

Couldn't agree more.

Managed about an hour from midnight. Too tired for hunting around, so chose a few easy to find targets and spent a bit of time on them.

Really rewarding.
